INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON PALESTINE
From 5 to 6 November 1980 the I.P.O. organized in Vienna, Austria, the International Conference on the Palestine Problem with Special Regard to the Question of Jerusalem. Approximately 120 experts from 31 countries participated in the conference. The Foreign Minister of Austria, Dr. Willibald Pahr, delivered the opening lecture. Keynote speeches were given by H.E. Mohamed Ibn Slama, Deputy Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, H.E. Falilou Kane, Chairman of the United Nations Committee for the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, H.E. Rouhi El-Khatib, Mayor of Arab Jerusalem, Joseph Algazy-Galili, Secretary-General of the Israel League for Human and Civil Rights, and H.E. Ramsey Clark, former Attorney-General of the United States. In the evening of 5 November, the Federal Chancellor (Prime Minister) of Austria, Dr. Bruno Kreisky, gave a reception at the Federal Chancellery. The proceedings of the conference will be published in the series Studies in International Relations.
A session of the preparatory committee for the conference was held in Vienna on 24 April 1980.

RECEPTIONS OF THE PRESIDENT
On 9 October 1980 the President of the I.P.O. gave a reception for Japanese academics and Professors of Tokyo University at the Top of the Tower Restaurant of the New Otani Hotel in Tokyo.
On 16 October 1980 the President of the I.P.O. gave a reception in honour of Professor Hans R. Klecatsky, former Minister of Justice of Austria, at Hotel Bristol in Vienna.
On 5 November 1980 the President of the I.P.O. gave a reception for the delegates of the International Conference on Palestine at Palais Schwarzenberg in Vienna.
