The publication contains the first comprehensive legal evaluation of the Malvinas-Falklands dispute issued after the end of the military conflict between Argentina and the United Kingdom.

The issue of sovereignty over the territory of the Malvinas (Falkland) islands and the dispute between Argentina and the United Kingdom is related to vital strategic considerations in connection with access to and control over the Antarctic region and its resources. It is also an issue of decolonization in the South Atlantic and Antarctic region.
