The United Nations and International Power Politics: The Future of World Order

International Roundtable to be organized by the I.P.O. and IHRAAM at East-West University in Chicago

The International Progress Organization, in cooperation with the International Human Rights Association of American Minorities (IHRAAM), will organize an international roundtable discussion on "The United Nations and International Power Politics – The Future of World Order."

Experts of international law, international relations, political science and sociology from the United States, Canada, Austria and Turkey will participate. The meeting will be co-chaired by Dr. Hans Koechler, President of the International Progress Organization (Austria), and Dr. Yussuf Kly of IHRAAM, Professor emeritus at the University of Regina (Canada).

The meeting will be held on June 5th, 2004 at East-West University in Chicago (USA) and will be followed by a book launching session for "Global Justice or Global Revenge?" by Hans Koechler. The book will be introduced by Professor Dr. Tuerkkaya Ataoev, former Director of the Department of International Relations at the University of Ankara and general editor of the book's forthcoming Turkish edition.

On the occasion of the roundtable in Chicago, the International Progress Organization will also present its new documentation "The Iraq Crisis and the United Nations: Power Politics vs. the International Rule of Law."

The organizers plan the publication of a comprehensive volume with the papers presented at the roundtable.
